    The long school holidays are almost here ...

    for my 16 year old they started 3 weeks ago after he did his exams now has to wait until end of aug to see if he made it in to 6th form

    my 10 yr old finishes on friday so busy at the moment with plays,special assembly things, sports days ,summer fete's at the school and the summer school disco feel im running to and from the school all day and night so in some ways im looking forward to the start of the long holidays just for a rest

    thanks i think he will do well but its the maths he needs c or above to get in to 6th form and do chemistry without chemistry he cant choose the other subjects its all complicated lol

    i find the hols go really quickly we say we will go here there and everywhere next thing the weather has been rubbish its week 5 and we have been to 1 or 2 places lol i just find it so much less stress withut having go get callum ready for school then rush back out again later

    You go for day trips? I remember my foster parents did this and I loved it. Really need to drive blergh! I stopped taking my lessons because of redundancy!

    yeah we went to the space center last year on a day coach trip i darent drive all that way ill get lost even with a sat nav its been known lol

    normally go to the coast skegness or mablethorpe or find something around lincoln area we love the castle might go on a jousting day this year bike rides we love them last year didnt do it because of the weather

    I actualy like the holidays.. what I hate is companies cashing in on them putting every price up ..

    I miss them whent hey are at school ... even though they drive us potty some days

    Day trips for us are a mare.. as they cost so much, we usualy try to have a few long 3-4 day trips
